Basil Tate and Chad "Sticks" Lampwick, retired musicians turned private detectives, agree to assist Veena, the niece of their old friend, Inspector Errol Nathan.
They embark upon a dangerous quest to replace a mysterious crystal, stolen from a fabled underwater city.
A series of extraordinary events then leads Tait and Sticks, and their friend, Scott "Macka" McCloud, to another Earth, on the far side of the sun.
Their mission is to locate a similar crystal before it destroys the entire solar system.
