Basil Tate - ex musician turned Private Detective and off-duty daredevil - receives a visit from his long-time friend, Scott ‘Macka’ McCloud, full-time musician and part-time hero.
Macka convinces Tate to accompany him to Queensland’s far north where he believes a mysterious area, steeped heavily in Aboriginal Dream Time legends, contain something of an extraordinary value.
Together with Jumbuck - a forest ranger, and Laura Bydin - a beautiful mineralogist, they enter this forbidden zone, a black mountain known as Kalkajaka.
There they begin a quest which will lead them through a weird and dangerous, supernatural world to a discovery, so fantastic, it could change the course of Earth’s future.....
